Inking It!

7.30pm @ Keepsake Krafts



This class will focus on creating a background for your layout using inks and jazzing up transparent alphas and embellishments with a splash of inked colour.

Supplies needed:
** Apron and/or old clothes because inks stain**
One photo 19cm x 14cm (7"x5") portrait orientation.
One piece of coated cardstock, eg gloss cardstock or pearlescent cardstock (Renaye has some put aside if you would like some - colours include mid-blue, dark brown and off white).
Transparent OR shiny alphabet for a title.
Transparent embellishments (small selection).
Two strips of patterned paper.
One boarder strip, eg from Sasafrass Lass papers with the decorative edge, or patterned paper to scallop.
Two "tickets" or patterned paper or embellishment.
One circular embellishment (I used a Heidi Swapp clock face).
One jumbo eyelet, brad or button.
One decorative/shaped brad or eyelet (I used a dragonfly).
Gel pen for journaling.
Stapler.
Xyron sticker maker if you have one.
Ink pad to coordinate with patterned paper.
Sandpaper.

Supplied in class:
Inks and inking tools will be supplied in class.

Techniques used:
Inked backgrounds, sanding, distressing, inking, colourising elements, paper layering, hand journaling.
